Investment Counsellor

As a seasoned Investment Counsellor, Avy provides discretionary investment advice to high net worth individuals and families. He believes in working together with his clients to help them achieve what truly matters to them. Avy has 11 years of experience in working with high net worth clients from a major Canadian Bank. He believes in building a personal relationship with clients is paramount to understanding their goals and transforming them into customized investment and wealth solutions. He works closely with his clients to understand their needs and help them plan for their future through all of life’s changes. Avy has an excellent understanding of the financial markets and leverages that knowledge to formulate tailored investment strategies for his clients.

Avy has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Panjab University, India and has obtained a Financial Marketing Certificate from George Brown College. He earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Toronto CFA Society.

Using a holistic approach, Avy collaborates with his colleagues in BMO Private Banking to design integrated solutions to enable clients to help achieve their personal wealth goals. Avy’s goal is to empower clients with comprehensive and customized solutions for complex situations through coordinated and proactive wealth plans. Avy knows how to navigate the nuances and complexities of wealth management so that clients can have the confidence that their goals are within reach.

Anar Cathers, B.Comm. (Fin)

Portfolio Associate

Anar joined BMO Private Investment Counsel in 2011 as a Portfolio Associate.  Prior to joining BMO Private Investment Counsel, she worked as a Trust Administrator at BMO Private Wealth and in various roles within BMO.  Anar holds her B.Comm in Finance from Nippissing University.  She has a passion for helping people achieve their goals. 

 

In her personal time, Anar enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and reading.
