About Varun

Born in New Delhi, India, where he completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial and Management Accounting from Christ University, Bangalore, Varun moved to Canada in 2003 and earned a Master of Business Administration with a Focus on Finance from the University of Windsor and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from George Brown College.
 
Varun rejoined BMO Investment Counsel Inc. in 2019 with extensive technical investment management expertise, experience working one-on-one with families and business owners. As a Senior Investment Counsellor, Varun builds meaningful, long-term relationships with his clients in the Southwestern Ontario region based on trust and integrity and aims to deliver exceptional value through his personalized portfolio management and full-circle wealth planning guidance.
 
Varun began his career with Bank of Montreal as a Financial Services Manager. He then became a Private Wealth Consultant and moved to IG Wealth Management, where he spent several years as a Wealth Planning Specialist and Assistant Vice President.
 
Varun speaks fluent Hindi and lives in Brantford, Ontario with his wife, Laura, and their dog, Luna. They enjoy hiking the trails of Southwestern Ontario and travelling across Canada.
