As a member of the BMO High Net Worth Wealth Planning team, Suki brings together the knowledge and experience of our in-house tax and estate professionals and works with BMO financial professionals and their clients to develop sound wealth management plans. She provides support and direction around complex issues such as retirement and income planning, tax planning, cash management, business succession, transition planning, estate and gift planning, and charitable giving.
Experience and background
Suki is originally from the UK where she completed her BA (Hon.) degree in Public Administration
and Managerial Studies. She moved to British Columbia in the mid 90s and lives in Richmond with her husband, three sons and dog Alfie. Suki has over twenty years experience in the financial services industry. Prior to working with BMO, she worked at several major Canadian banks in banking, financial planning and insurance advisory roles.
Suki brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the wealth planning role. She has the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS™) and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC®) designations, and is working towards the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation. Suki is also a former recipient of the Leslie Dunstall Award for BC.
Caitlin Wang, CPA, CMA, CFP®

Caitlin brings together the knowledge and experience of our in-house tax and estate professionals and works with BMO Private Wealth professionals and their clients to develop
sound wealth management plans. Caitlin ensures a great client experience during the wealth planning process. She helps to identify and solve complex issues by providing strategies that are both appropriate for each client’s
unique situation and practical in execution.
Caitlin joined BMO Private Wealth in 2022, after 15 years in various roles in the BMO Personal Banking division. In 2015, Caitlin became a Financial Planner and obtained the Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP®), helping
clients including new immigrants, working professionals and business owners to achieve financial success. Drawing on extensive financial planning experience, she helps analyze tax planning, trust and estate, philanthropic planning and risk management. Caitlin articulates complex solutions effectively so clients can envision their future.

Phil assists high net worth individuals and families in structuring their personal and corporate affairs in a tax-efficient manner. Leveraging more than a decade of experience in the tax and assurance advisory space for private companies and their owners, Phil knows that his clients care about the “big picture” and how taxation factors into that from a practical perspective. His areas of expertise include owner-manager compensation, corporate reorganizations & divestitures, business succession, estate planning, charitable giving, and other related tax planning matters.

Vicki Xu, JD, TEP
Director, Estate Planning, Vancouver
Vicki is an Estate Planning Consultant with BMO Private Wealth, where she supports clients through their estate planning process by providing tailored legal information and recommendations to meet their unique needs. She works closely with other specialists on the Wealth Planning Advisory team, including Tax Planning Consultants, Business Advisory Consultants, and Estate and Insurance Advisors, to devise comprehensive solutions for clients.
As a BC licensed lawyer and a member of the STEP Canada Society Of Trust And Estate Practitioners, Vicki is well-equipped to address a wide range of estate planning matters, including probate fee planning, trust establishment and business succession strategies. Before assuming her current role as Director of Estate Planning at BMO Private Wealth, Vicki practiced law at a boutique full-service law firm and served as Senior Trust Officer with BMO Trust Company. Her hands-on experience in trust and estate administration informs her estate planning approach, enabling her to identify and mitigate potential pitfalls in the estate planning process.
Vicki is fluent in Mandarin and conversant in Cantonese.

Joanna Ho is a Director with BMO Family Office Canada with a primary focus on western Canada. Joanna brings her wealth of experience in providing institutional solutions to BMO Private Wealth & Canadian Commercial Banking clients across the country.
Through a career spanning over 20 years, Joanna has developed extensive international experience advising a diversified and extensive client base engaged in a broad range of cross border transactions with the aim to build & preserve their legacy through preservation, responsible growth, and ultimately smooth family transitions.
Prior to joining BMO, Joanna held various senior positions in major private banks in Asia. She was the Head of Wealth Planning, Greater China & North Asia with the Bank of Singapore where she spearheaded the family office and wealth planning support group. In her position as the Regional Head of Wealth Planning in Asia Pacific at HSBC Private Banking, she led a team of professionals assisting clients on their wealth structuring, asset protection, family office, and philanthropic planning. Her team received top awards and recognition for several consecutive years.
Joanna holds a Bachelor of Law from The University of London and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Calgary. She is also a qualified CPA (Canada, the US and Hong Kong), a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and holds an Advanced Certificate of Family Business Advising from STEP.
