About Elaine

Elaine Yong, CFA, CFP

Senior Investment Counsellor, Portfolio Manager

Elaine has well over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She has held positions in portfolio management, wealth management, mutual fund wholesaling, full-service brokerage, and personal banking. As an Investment Counsellor, she is responsible for the investment management needs of high net worth clients in the North Toronto area. 
 
In 2009, Elaine joined BMO Private Banking. Prior to taking on the Investment Counsellor role, Elaine worked as a Portfolio Manager in the Portfolio Management and Research group responsible for effectively implementing and constructing private client investment portfolios. She also held positions at AGF Funds as a Business Development Manager, HSBC Securities as an Investment Associate and Scotiabank as a Personal Banker.
 
Elaine holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in finance from Simon Fraser University.  She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations.  Elaine is an active member of the BMO for women market counsel and previously held active roles with Women in Capital Markets (WCM).  She also speaks fluent Cantonese. 

Hailing from Vancouver Elaine has called Toronto home since 2005.  She currently lives in North Toronto with her husband and two kids. Outside of the office, she enjoys snowboarding, cooking and travelling.
