Richard grew up in England and began his trust career in Jersey, Channel Islands in 1996. There he worked in the offshore banking and finance industry, where he administered portfolios of trusts and property holding companies before he relocated to Calgary in 2008. While in Calgary Richard worked for competitor firms as a Trust Officer, administering portfolios of Estates, Trusts and Powers of Attorney and as an Estate and Trust Advisor developing new business for the trust company; Richard was also an active member of the Calgary branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and with the Estate Planning Council of Calgary. In 2017 Richard moved to the Okanagan and settled in Kelowna.
 
Richard works with clients and advisors to develop and implement solutions for wealth planning.
He provides guidance on structuring estate plans, protecting assets, and ensuring an efficient and effective administration and transfer of assets.
He also provides guidance through BMO Trust Company’s agent services to individuals who act as powers of attorney and in other similar roles.

Richard is well regarded in the estate and trust community, remains active with STEP and holds the industry standard TEP and MTI designations.
