About Michael

Michael Bonn has been guiding Vancouver’s affluent families and non-profit institutions with tailored, principled and disciplined financial leadership at BMO Private Investment Counsel since 2012. He is distinguished by his ability to advise everyone from sophisticated business owners to high net worth seniors planning for retirement. Michael gets to know his clients on a deep level then advises them with sincerity, experience and proven instincts.

Before joining BMO, Michael spent a decade as a Senior Analyst at another leading firm. He holds Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics from the University of Waterloo and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation. He is also a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Vancouver. Michael is also a trained baseball coach who volunteers for the Vancouver Mounties. When he is not consumed by his kids’ athletic events, Michael enjoys mountain biking in the North Shore Mountains and Squamish, vacationing in Maui, and skiing in Whistler.
