This With over 20 of experience in several aspects of the financial services industry, Marc Bellefeuille specializes in advising Canada’s leading entrepreneurs and their affluent families in Toronto, Ontario, Alberta and BC. Raised in a family of bankers and commercial lenders, Marc grew up hearing stories of how his father and uncle helped local businesses finance their operations, who in turn employed their friends and neighbours and kept our economy flourishing. From an early age, Marc was inspired to serve the people who take business risks to bring us the things we need to have great lives. 
 
In 2014, Marc helped to start Manulife Private Wealth and took the firm from an innovative new concept with zero presence to a strong player on the national wealth management landscape. He began in Quebec and Ontario and then expanded across Canada. Marc moved to BMO Private Wealth late in 2021 to offer his ultra-affluent, sophisticated entrepreneurial clientele a more extensive pool of resources and enhanced access to financing opportunities.
 
Prior to joining Manulife Private Wealth, Marc worked at RBC Private Client Group as a Private Banker, at Monster Insurance as a Vice President, and at CIBC Capital Markets as an Investment Banking Analyst. He holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western Universiy and a Bachelor of Political science and ecomonics from the University of Ottawa. Marc holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Financial Risk Manager (FRM®), Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Canadian Investment Manager (CIM®), and Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designations.

Fluent in French and English, Marc is an avid marathoner, snowboarder and sports fan who enjoys traveling and playing golf. Marc and his wife reside in Toronto’s Leslieville neighbourhood. Most of their personal time is spent chasing after their young son and taking him to his skating and jiu jitsu lessons, soaking up the gifts of every single stage as he grows up.
 

Zach Laleg, B.Comm. (Fin)

Associate Investment Counsellor

Zach Laleg works alongside Marc Bellefeuille as an Associate Investment Counsellor providing wealth and investment management expertise to affluent families across Canada. He joined BMO in 2021 and has over 4 years experience working with high-net-worth clients on their complex and day to day financial needs.
 
Prior to joining BMO early in 2022, Zach worked with Marc Bellefeuille at Manulife Private Wealth as a Portfolio Associate and Business Development Associate. Before that, be provided bilingual client support at RBC and owned and operated his own company, Montreal Steel Roofing, gaining direct experience in the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship. Zach has also worked as an Associate Advising Representative with the Ontario Securities Commission.

Zach  holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Economics from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University, where he played varsity soccer. Zach speaks fluent French and English as well as some Spanish. He has completed the Conduct and Practices Handbook and Canadian Securities Courses with the Canadian Securities Institute and is a Level III candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation.
 
Outside of work, Zach is involved in his local community as a board member and treasurer for the James Shaver Woodsworth Homestead Foundation, a charitable organization that oversees the preservation and operation of Applewood, a historical landmark in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Bright Bennett, CIM

Portfolio Associate

Bright Bennett helps our team to enhance the wealth management experience for our busy clientele. He is responsible for onboarding new clients and helping to transition and consolidate their assets. Bright strengthens our business relationships by providing financial solutions that meet our clients’ complex needs and seeking opportunities to enhance and protect their wealth. He also manages our administrative hub, keeping everyone organized, well scheduled and well prepared for client meetings. His excellence has been recognized twice with a BMO Spotlight Award in 2019 and 2021.
 
Bright has 10 years of experience in the investment industry and joined BMO Financial Group in 2009. Prior to becoming a Portfolio Associate, he worked with BMO as a Financial Services Manager and a Five-Star Client Relationship Consultant. He also worked with Fidelity Investments as an Operations Analyst. Bright holds a diploma in Business Management and Financial Services from Humber College and the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM®) and Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFPTM) designations. He also has a Certificate in Advanced Investment Strategies from the Canadian Securities Institute and a license to offer derivatives and options. Bright is currently pursuing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designations. He is fluent in English and Twi, a language spoken in Ghana.

Community involvement is a high priority for Bright. He was BMO’s 2021 United Way Ambassador, is an active participant in yearly fundraising events for Kids Help Phone, and provides food and sanitary products to the homeless in downtown Toronto. When he’s not studying or volunteering, Bright is a sports enthusiast who loves cheering on the Toronto Raptors, Maple Leafs and TFC. He also enjoys traveling, working out and getting together with his young nephew Harrison, his niece Viera and other family members.
