Uche Odita is an experienced and engaged Private Banker and financial planner who is excited to help people seize the opportunities that exist in life and business. Uche’s passion is inspiring people to dream big, take a chance, and achieve their vision.

After earning a BA in Political Science and Government at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana, where she served as Secretary of the Political Science Students’ Association, Uche earned a Master’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from King’s College, London, serving as Secretary of the International Exchange Department. She started her career in Relationship Support at Citi in Lagos, Nigeria in 2009 and was subsequently a Premier Services Relationship Manager at Barclays Bank in London, UK. Uche returned to Lagos, Nigeria as a Relationship Manager in Consumer Banking, Retail and Card Services at Access Bank.

Uche immigrated to Canada in 2018 and selected Edmonton as her new home without blinking an eye. She worked with RBC as a Banking Advisor and Financial Planner and then joined BMO Private Wealth in 2022, where she brings a select group of clients from many different cultures a rich suite of banking and wealth management services.

Although Uche has experience across financial planning, business and private banking and business analytics, she is best known for her warm and attentive service and personal connections. She holds the Personal Financial Planner (PFP®) designation conferred by the Canadian Securities Institute and the Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFPTM) designation conferred by FP Canada.

With a big heart for kids, Uche has volunteered as a Development Officer with Hope Worldwide Nigeria to find 50 sponsors for 50 orphans and has served with Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area (BGCBigs) since 2018. She has also served the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) since 2019 and, on an informal basis, works actively to promote financial literacy among young adults and newcomers to Canada. 

Outside of the office, Uche unwinds by shopping, pursuing her love of fashion, traveling, and staying active outdoors with her Standard Poodle, Finn.
