David Parker, CFA

David joined BMO Investment Counsel Inc. in 1998. His experience includes nine years as a stockbroker for a Toronto-based investment firm where he was a partner, and five years as President and Managing Director of a Barbados-based investment company as well as Director of a Bermuda-based reinsurance company.
David obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, is a past Vice President and Director of the Toronto Society of Investment Dealers Association, a past fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute, a member of the Toronto CFA Society, and a charter member of the CFA Institute.
Adam E. Carter, CPA, CA, CBV, FEA
Vice President, Business Advisory & Transition Planning
Prior to joining BMO Private Wealth in 2018, Adam worked for KPMG Corporate Finance Group, advising private company owners across multiple industries, with business enterprise values ranging from $3 million to +$100 million, on divestitures, acquisitions, due diligence, projections/financial modeling, and business valuations for multiple purposes. Other areas of experience include corporate restructuring and insolvency, financing, financial modeling & projections and corporate audits. Adam’s goal is to develop rapport with clients through open communication, trust and exceptional service. Leaning on his diverse background and experience, Adam provides guidance to private business owners and families throughout Ontario in the areas of business succession, transition, growth through acquisitions, sell-side M&A, and valuations for the purposes of wealth planning and exit planning.
Carol Willes
Director, Estate Planning
Carol brings over 30 years of legal experience with 14 years of dedicated wealth and estate planning expertise to her role. Carol came from a combination of private practice in law and consulting for clients from Asia to Europe in the areas of business structuring, succession planning and financing. She has taught both undergraduates and executives at the Queen’s University School of Business and Faculty of Law, in the fields of international business, law and ethics and most recently taught Wills and the Law of Succession to upper year law students at the University of Ottawa.
Now as Director, Estate Planning at BMO Private Wealth, Carol strives to provide meaningful, client-centered advice and solutions. She helps individuals and their families build a secure and purposeful legacy and find peace of mind in the context of their entire wealth story.
Carol assists clients from many backgrounds to comprehend their present circumstances and to develop that future legacy. By helping people focus on what is most important to them – their family, their community, financial security and more – she develops distinctive estate planning options for clients as part of an integrated team of wealth planning specialists that supports those clients through their entire life journey.
Louis-Philippe de Sève-Bergeron, LL.B, TEP
Director, Tax Planning
As a tax specialist, Louis-Philippe provides information and guidance to individuals and businesses relevant to today’s complex tax environment. In order to coordinate the best client solutions, Louis-Philippe often works directly with our clients’ lawyers and accountants. The goal is to always ensure that a well-rounded team of professionals is working to improve our clients’ situation.
Louis-Philippe is also fluent in both English and French. Louis-Philippe, holds both a Master of Taxation and the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, has worked extensively on corporate reorganizations and restructuring, estate planning, and establishment of trusts. He has consulted on intergenerational transfers, estate planning and transfers to key employees. With over 12 years of experience in an accounting environment, 6 being at BMO, he has developed the ability to provide clear and concise advice to a variety of clients during their most stressful life events.
Ron Canie
Senior Private Banker
Ron Canie is our Senior Private Banker for the Kingston Region. As BMO One Bank, Ron will collaborate with our BMO Financial Group partners to fully engage our high net worth clients and ensure complete banking relationships are realized.
Ron has been with BMO for over 10 years and brings significant experience and presence to the role having most recently led the Kingston Region commercial team as VP Business Banking after several successful years in senior commercial roles in EOD. Ron’s senior leadership experience, market knowledge, and background in wealth management supports BMO’s direction to provide comprehensive private banking services addressing complex financial needs, to our high net worth clients.
Ron holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa. He sits on the Investment Committee of the Southern Ontario Fund for Investment in Innovation (SOFII).
Tara Whalen
Private Banker
Tara joined BMO Bank of Montreal in 2007 working in various roles in the branches in Ontario and British Columbia before joining the Private Bank in 2018.
Tara has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (majoring in Law) from Ottawa’s Carleton University and is a registered mutual fund investment representative in the Province of Ontario.
Pamela Wheeler, MTI

Pamela administers a diverse account portfolio of Estates, Trusts, EnCircle and Continuity Accounts. She works closely with clients to ensure a meaningful and enriching experience with BMO Private Banking. Using a holistic approach, Pamela collaborates with her colleagues to design integrated solutions to enable clients to help achieve their personal wealth goals. Pamela’s goal is to empower clients with comprehensive and customized solutions, resolving complex situations through coordinated and proactive wealth plans.
Tyler Klinck
Director – Wealth Planning
Tyler has always been passionate about helping people, especially with their finances. After being accepted into the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management, Tyler quickly learned the importance of financial management and switched his degree major from Marketing to Finance.
Once graduated, Tyler started to pursue his Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation to further his grasp on the financial landscape we all are navigating. At BMO Private Wealth, he now uses this knowledge to provide customized solutions to serve the unique needs of his clients.
